American Cockroaches
Color: Reddish-brown.
Length: 1 to 1 1/2 inches long.
Identifying Marks: A pair of wings that protrude past their main body and a lightly-colored edge around their body.
General Habitat: Warm areas with high moisture levels commonly found in basements and crawl spaces.
German Cockroaches
Color: Tan or light brown.
Length: 1/4 to 5/8 inches long.
Identifying Marks: Two dark stripes running lengthwise down the back of their head.
General Habitat: Found in and throughout moist cracks, mostly in and around kitchens or bathrooms.
Oriental Cockroaches
Color: Dark or oily black.
Length: Roughly 1 inch long.
Identifying Marks: Appears to be wingless at first.
General Habitat: Dark, moist areas in the home such as around sewer drains, wet basements, under porches, and throughout crawl spaces.
